POSITION: Shift Firefighter
POSITION STATUS: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION RANGE: $52,544 - $57,416 DOQ; Standard Benefits + FLSA Overtime
WORKING HOURS: 48/96 Shift Schedule

Pagosa Fire Protection District is seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Shift Firefighter. The ideal candidate will have experience working withing a combination fire department and the ability to maintain a positive working relationship will all members and the public.
In accordance with the Shift Firefighter Position Description, individuals will carry out all duties of a Firefighter and participate in all aspects of fire company operations as directed. These duties include, but are not limited to: structure fire suppression, rescue operations, emergency medical care, vehicle extrication, fire prevention, equipment maintenance, and wildland fire suppression.

- Must agree to the “at will” policy for all members serving under the leadership of the Fire Chief.
- Must complete the Fire Academy.
